President Jakaya Kikwete has appointed former Former Uyui (Tabora north) Member of Parliament Hon. Engineer James Msekela (Dr) as new emissery of Tanzania to Italy. A statement issued by the Chief Secretary, Ambassador Ombeni Sefue in Dar es Salaam on Tuesday said the appointment took effect on October 12, last year.In the statement, Ambassador Sefue said that the president has also appointed Mr Ramadhani Muombwa Mwinyi to be Deputy Permanent Representative of Tanzania in the United Nations, New York.Prior to the appointment, Mr Mwinyi was Chief Secretary in the Zanzibar government.
Uyui wish to congraturate Dr James Msekela for the appointment. According to the statement, the designated ambassadors will be sworn-in this Thursday.
